With a keen interest in design history, Joost reinterprets the archetypal icons of our living spaces and decants them into striking contemporary design objects. His minimalist designs are a seamless blend of original construction methods, rich and unusual materials, exquisite craftsmanship.

Joost was born in Delft, The Netherlands, in 1976. After graduating from the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2001, he started his own design studio and has worked on a variety of projects. He has participated in several national and international exhibitions and his work has been published in magazines such as Abitare, L’Officiel, Items, Elle Wonen.
